NBCU’s Hayu SVOD Service Launches On Foxtel

Sydney – Following the March launch of NBCUniversal International’s new all-reality subscription video on-demand (SVOD) service hayu, NBCUniversal International today announced that Foxtel residential subscribers, whose subscription package includes the channel E! Entertainment Television*, will have access to the new streaming service, as part of their existing Foxtel subscription, at no extra cost. Customers can activate their access to hayu at: hayu.com/foxtel.

Today’s news means Foxtel’s Entertainment Plus subscribers* will have easy access to NBCUniversal’s massive line-up of reality programming that features a growing collection of more than 3,000 episodes across some of the most popular reality franchises, including Keeping Up with the Kardashians, The Real Housewives (US versions), Million Dollar Listing and Top Chef franchises, along with series such as I Am Cait, The Millionaire Matchmaker, Made In Chelsea and Shahs of Sunset.

Available now, eligible* Foxtel subscribers can watch the latest unscripted content, the large majority of which is added on the same day as the US premiere, binge on the box-sets of their favourite reality shows – right from the beginning – and take advantage of specially curated content from hayu’s programming experts. In addition, subscribers will be able to enjoy short-form clips from select shows that can be easily posted to viewers’ own social media channels.

Hendrik McDermott, SVP, Branded On-Demand, NBCUniversal International said: “Having only just launched in Australia in March, we are delighted to now make hayu directly available to Foxtel subscribers. Through this collaboration with our long-term platform partner in this market, we are one step closer to our goal of enabling the widest possible audience of reality fans to access this immersive SVOD service on the broad range of devices they use daily.”

Brian Walsh, Executive Director of Television, Foxtel said: “Foxtel has an incredible collection of hit reality shows across our channels Arena, E!, Style and Lifestyle YOU. Foxtel and NBCUniversal have a longstanding relationship that has enjoyed incredible success in bringing high-quality, unscripted programming to subscribers hungry for entertainment and the availability of hayu to our subscribers* at no extra cost is another great value-add to a Foxtel subscription.”

hayu is now available to Foxtel subscribers with the Entertainment Plus pack*, or packages that include the channel E! Entertainment Television, at hayu.com/foxtel.

* Not available to Optus TV, Telstra T-Box or Foxtel Business customers.
